My love for the Irish terrier started on September 28th 1998 when I was lucky enough to get my handsome boy, Kenwood's McGwire, from Ken & Mary Lewis of Kenwood Irish terriers.  Mac and I spent many years of enjoying the countryside together & many hours working our way to his CDX title.  I was very upset to lose him to cancer at the age of 9.5, far too young.  If we had more time together I am sure we would have achieved his Utility title. 

The loss of my wonderful boy was softened by the fact that another wonderful Irish had entered my life in the summer of 2007.   Kenwood's Just NV Mee is a delight.  She has been a great help replacing my boy Mac.  I did not have the heart to work her in obedience in 2008 so she started working on getting her conformation Championship.  She finished her first year in the "beauty pagent" ring with 9 points. 2009 saw her get a group 3 & 4 to finish her Conformation Championship title in style!

By the spring of 2009 my heart was grieving less and I decided to start working NV towards some obedience titles.  She is a real character but so much fun to work with.  Not only did she finish her Conformation title she also received her Rally Novice, Canadian Good Neighbour & Pre-Novice titles!

NV & I have had another great year in the obedience ring in 2010.  We have achieved both the goals I set for this year.  She can now change her initials at the end of her name to include her Rally Advance and Novice Obedience titles!
